My recent stay at Craig Park House was nothing short of delightful. Nestled just outside Caldercruix, this beautifully restored Victorian villa combines charm with comfort, creating a cozy retreat after a day of exploring nearby sites like the fascinating New Lanark World Heritage Site. The highlight of my mornings was undoubtedly the Full Scottish Breakfast, which could put any hotel's offerings to shame! Haggis, locally sourced sausages, and perfectly cooked eggs made for a hearty start to the day. Warm and attentive hosts, Billy and Kay, made my companions and I feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed and offering invaluable tips for our sightseeing adventures. As a history teacher, I especially appreciated the wealth of historical attractions within easy reach, alongside the chance to relax in their well-maintained guest lounge, which was perfect for unwinding with a good book after a day of exploration. I genuinely can't wait to return to this hidden gem and immerse myself again in its warmth and hospitality!
